  • Is your computer SAFE?  Do you have a virus?  Are you on a high speed internet connection and are wondering if people can access your computer?  The Norton's Web site has a little program to test your computer to see if your information and computer is safe.  Or maybe you think your computer is infected and you had failed to keep up with your antivirus software.  You can also have Norton's scan your computer.  Take the tests now and keep computing safely.  Symantec Security Check

  • SpyWare is a new terminology I have been using a lot of lately.  It is a program that tracks what you do on the internet for various reasons and mostly to annoy you with more pop up ads.  If you would like to see if you have any on your computer and get rid of it, Lavasoft has a wonderful free program that you can download and run.

  • AVG Antivirus is making it's way onto the market.  Supposed to be pretty good and I have put it on some computers although I am still a Norton's fan if you have the computer resources.  Older computers that do not have the resources to run the new Norton's I have tried this alternative and it is ok but have had some minor problems with it.  So use it wisely!  Here is a link to a free download

  • System Specifications are hard to find, try this Belarc Advisor download to tell you what you have on your computer.  I use it often to get product keys if someone has lost their license.

  • Google Toolbar is great for stopping those popup ads.  When you install it do just the minimum and not the extra features.  And if you don't want to make it your default search engine, then make sure you uncheck that before clicking next.

  • Graphics are great from this Sioux Falls, SD Company.  Hope you are enjoying them scattered throughout my website and other sites I have been working on and creating.  I fell in love with these guys!

  • Computer Magazine?  My favorite magazine is easy to read you too can enjoy it.  Even read it right off the internet for free.

  • Weather?  Weatherbug is still an okay problem as long as you customize your installation and remove the extra junk and toolbars it wants to install.  I like the temp in the system tray but I do not like the ads on the free weatherbug, but that is the price.

  • Computer Applications and Programs can be found at this reliable download site.  They have tons of applications but some are shareware and they cost a minimal fee but most are free.  You can even find viewers here in case your missing an application to open something someone sent you.

  • Addresses can be found on the internet along with reverse look-up.  If you have a person's phone number and want to find out who it is, this is a good place to start unless they are new.  It is like a phonebook with white and yellow pages.
